I have been in Ohio for 2 1/2 weeks now- One of the few places that are home to me. I discovered that at this time in my life many people have prepared a room for me in their homes, even as I have my own place that I pay for! It is evident to me that I need to enjoy these homes and learn from the people there. It has been fun this year, getting to know more people in their homes. First, we have an apartment in Philly with us 5 girls. When I get bac
wait!! there is a blue jay eating from a flower pot really close to me! How beautiful with his extravagent blue stripped head. It just flew away...

When I get back to Philly, I have a new roommate, Cindy, whom I am looking forward to getting to know. She is really fun to talk with and a great cook! I think we both are pretty clean, so it will be nice to have someone to share my passion with in the house:)
I am looking forward to hanging out and learning from Bethany, (Cindy now), Nicole, and Ruth. I thoroughly enjoy living with them. Especially our secret code language and early morning and late night girl parties. These fine women have become my sisters. I understand Jesus when he said those who know God and know his Son are whom he calls father, mother, sister, and brother.
I have found numerous other homes while in Philly. The Edin-Nelson's home is so cozy on Tuesdays, and was for a couple months this summer. Deb and Brian prepare their spare room for me whenever I come. I love spending time with them because they are honest about their relationship with eachother. I never guessed that we could spend so much time together!
To sum it up, the term home has really changed for me. It is beginning to be the place where the Holy Spirit has its way. Home is with the people who live the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus. I struggle with what Jesus' way, truth and life looks like- I guess I just told myself what it looks like-maybe it is all a little simpler than I like to think:)
