Four weeks and counting...from yesterday

Hubie and I have 4 more weeks before we have our big day. Our families are getting so excited to make the trek to Philly. Everything is coming together some how. I have my dress, got my hair done, even started moving some stuff.


I had two great bridal showers, one in Philly and one in Ohio. It was neat to share excitement with so many people, all of whom I have shared life with in one way or another. We even got to make jewelry at my Philly Shower. Britt made awesome strawberry shortbread cookies in Ohio.

We got so many gifts, my parents are bringing most of them when they come for the wedding. I fit some stuff in my extra suitcase. It was fun to enjoy the moment, how many other times in life to people want to bless you so much?

My roommates are hosting two interns this summer at our house. They had to remember our "house rules" again to pass on to them. We have lived together for 3 yrs now, it was difficult to remember our rules anymore. It has been special to share 3 yrs with Ruth and Bethany. They have become my family here in Philly.

Now Hubie and I will be starting a new family...just the two of us.


We have the ability to have grace with each other, and have God use us to heal one another. I am getting used to the idea of "moving through life together." At times it scares me, as I have only changed and moved as a single person, no one else to consider.

God has proven Himself thus far. I kept praying that he would prepare me to be married. Some how he does...Hubie and I keep growing and getting ready!
