White Flag

White flag means surrender. It seems that surrender happens as a last minute solution. Rarely is it first response. Just think of all the mess that would be saved, if surrender was my first response when I am wrong.

It seems to me that Jesus teaches us to surrender first. Some of the specifics: pray for for enemies, give up all condemnation, guilt, dirty thoughts, impure motives, dysfunctional ways to Jesus who gives us Life instead.

I was reminded this weekend that surrender is a blessing. It seems so burdensome at times. God showed me that it can be done, and he has given me every thing I need to receive from him.
