Yes, you read it right. I am back on my blog game. Last time I posted I was awaiting my wedding day...excited and nervous as heck!
Now I an old married pro...yeah right! We are coming up on a 4 month anniversary, and we figured out yesterday that we have been married over 100 days (kind of like being in kindergarten again).
I have been pleasantly surprised by how much fun marriage has been. Hubie and I didn't know each other for all that long before we got engaged and then married. I find myself surprised at how well we work together personality wise. God really knows what He is doing.
Today we ran/walked a 5k with our friends Juliana and Prabhu. The race benefited Children's Hospital Cancer Research. I was proud to have ran 1 mile!
Hubie's parents invited us over one Sunday. His dad pulled out the ol' Russian Hat.
Hubie's dad used to wear this on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City! His brother Clark brought it back for him from Russia. Aren't dad's the best?!
Of Course I had to get in on the hat action...
Hubie and I went to Hibernia County Park, about an hour from our house. Beautiful day...really nice lake...
I have just 1 1/2 weeks of work left. For those of you who don't know, I have worked in Foster Care for the past 2 years. Since resigning, I have heard that most people need to move on after the 2 year mark in this job.
Coworkers have been super encouraging and supportive with the new move to take a break. I am thankful! I have some great friends who helped me make this decision...and listen with me as to what God might have for me.
In the end, Hubie and I decided to change things up a bit, and have me take time off to recoup. I am nervous about how this transition will go. I don't have anything lined up to fill my time.
I hear God telling me I need a break, so I am.
I am sure there will be more posting to come, especially with more time on my hands!
